Brittany Broski isn’t just a meme icon; she’s a multifaceted force. Funny, politically insightful, and undeniably talented, she’s now proving she’s got the voice of a soulful rock star. While influencers like Addison Rae have blurred the lines between social media fame and musical stardom, Brittany took a different route. Her cover of Harry Styles' "Adore You" was an expression of her deep love for both pop culture and her devoted fanbase, Broski Nation. It wasn’t just a song - it was a heartfelt tribute to her fangirl roots.

Brittany, a Wattpad veteran, has a long history with One Direction–specifically Harry Styles. She’s never let her fans forget the music she grew up on.

As a superfan, she was invited to his One Night Only concert in New York City in 2022, where she had the unforgettable opportunity to meet him - a moment she described as surreal. Their interaction remains a favourite story amongst her fans, and the decision to cover one of his songs “wasn’t even a question” to Brittany.

Though Brittany had been teasing her musical aspirations for some time, the release still took everyone by surprise. The internet’s favourite meme queen, who once became a viral sensation with her Kombucha reactions, was now showcasing a rich, soulful voice, draped in a blue corset dress, harmonising like a pro.

Her transition into music felt less like a leap and more like an organic next step for the audience who had come to know and love her authenticity. Fans already recognise the unique, chaotic energy she brings to her TikToks and Instagram stories - energy that clearly translates just as compellingly into her music.

“Adore You” Was Pure Magic

Teaming up with Pentatonix’s Scott Hoying, Brittany released her stunning cover of Harry Styles' "Adore You," marking the start of her musical journey.

The song hit different, and for good reason. Brittany’s raw talent shone through, even without formal vocal training. Her voice, smooth and sultry, carried riffs and runs that would make seasoned singers jealous, flowing as if she were effortlessly crafting them in the moment. There was something about her delivery that felt both mysterious and nostalgic, like a smoky-voiced woman serenading a dusty bar in the heart of Texas, a nod to her Dallas roots.

Inspired, perhaps, by her musical idol, Beyoncé, and her "Cowboy Carter" album, Brittany completely reimagined "Adore You." The once groovy pop anthem was now a pleading, emotional ballad, a transformation so striking, it made the song barely recognisable in its new form.

The Video: A Visual Masterpiece

If you’re a fan of The Broski Report, Brittany’s podcast, you know that she’s a lover of art, culture, and history. After returning from Italy - minus her gallbladder, of course - it’s clear that she poured all of her passion for design and aesthetics into the music video for "Adore You." Drawing on still-life-inspired visuals, the video is as much a work of art as the song itself, reflecting her personal brand in every frame.

Her First Original Song: "The Sun"

Just a few weeks later, Brittany dropped her first original track, "The Sun." The song blends pop-rock with a hint of bluegrass guitar, showcasing Brittany’s broad musical range and influences, including artists like Hozier.

But it’s not just the sound of the song that resonates - it’s the depth of her lyrics. In "The Sun," Brittany opens up about self-worth and the complexities of relationships, themes she’s explored before on her podcast. The song also touches on her religious upbringing, a topic she’s never shied away from discussing in her career. With the opening line, "turned your water into wine," she transformed her spiritual journey into a narrative told through music, keeping it 100% Brittany Broski.

With "The Sun," Brittany has firmly established herself as more than just a viral internet sensation. She’s a legitimate artist in her own right. She’s no one-hit wonder - she’s here to stay. And whatever surprise she has in store next? The world definitely won’t be ready.
